Fiddlers Convention - a Friday through Sunday event featuring live music, food and art vendors, and a competition.

Oktoberfest - a free Saturday event that includes live music, a Beer Garden, great German food, kids' activities, a costume contest, and a sidewalk sale.

Bathtub Races - 2015 marked the 26th year of this friendly, yet competitive race, which is open to anyone who wants to compete.

Peach Festival - entertainment, crafts, tours, and of course - pie baking and eating contests!

Jazz and Blues Festival - a free day of non-stop Jazz and Blues music featuring multiple stages, artwork for sale by local artists, food trucks, amazing restaurants and more to heighten the festivals atmosphere.

The Arts are alive in Berlin with galleries featuring fine art, individual studios, co-ops and local and national handcrafts. We have an Art Stroll the 2nd Friday of every month.


What initiatives is your city currently working on?

An excursion train is proposed to operate on the Maryland Delaware Railroad Co. line to serve tourists and special events. The biggest goal would be themed rides between Halloween and Christmas, such as a Polar Express ride.


Where would you take someone on a first date in Berlin?

To blow glass at the Jeffrey Auxer Studio, followed by dinner and live music in wonderful downtown Berlin!
